Jets' Aaron Glenn QB update, plus new player signed at position
Both Tyrod Taylor (groin) and Justin Fields (knee) are injured. Brady Cook was dinged up last week but is evidently healthy ahead of the Jets (3-10) visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4) in Week 15. It's still unclear who will be part of the Jets' lineup on Sunday in terms of those injured players, but we have an insurance policy.
Brady Cook will become the 55th starting quarterback in New York Jets history, and the first undrafted rookie to do so for the team since J.J. Jones in 1975.
But the players take their cues from the coaches. Aaron Glenn came to the Jets' head coaching position espousing the importance of special teams and has continued through the season to tout his players and his staff, led by first-year coordinator Chris Banjo, who have made those special things happen.
The Jaguars (10-4) defeated the Jets (3-11) in a blowout win on Sunday that propelled the team's odds at earning a high seed in the AFC playoffs.
