The shooting, which left at least two students dead, shook the Rhode Island community at the university, one of the oldest in the United States.
"I have been briefed on the shooting that took place at Brown University in Rhode Island. The FBI is on the scene. The suspect is in custody. God bless the victims and the families of the victims!" Trump wrote at 5:44 p.m. on Truth Social.
