Donald Trump received a lavish royal welcome from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as he arrived in the kingdom Tuesday on the first stop of his Mideast trip.
Dozens of men in the traditional Saudi garb of a white robe and red headscarf swayed and sang to the beat of a drum in front of Salwa Palace, constructed in 1765, as Trump arrived for the formal state dinner with cabinet secretaries and Elon Musk.
Iran “must stop sponsoring terror, halt its bloody proxy wars and permanently and verifiably cease pursuit of nuclear weapons,” Trump said in remarks at a meeting of leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council hosted by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Saudi capital. “They cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
U.S. chip maker Nvidia will partner with Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund-owned AI startup Humain and will ship 18,000 chips to the Middle Eastern nation to help power a new data center project.
