The National Drought Group meets on Tuesday morning after another hot, dry spell.

The declaration comes after the country recently experienced its third heatwave of the summer and with reservoir levels falling in many areas.

The Environment Agency has noted "we will likely experience more frequent and severe droughts in the future due to our changing climate"
