A multi-agency manhunt is underway after a Georgia inmate escaped from Grady Memorial Hospital early Monday morning.
Timothy Shane, 52, escaped from Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta on Dec. 1 while in deputy custody, the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office said.
Photos captured the inmate, who has a history of fleeing and felony drug and weapon charges, hurriedly running outside in his hospital gown.
Timothy Shane, 52, was last seen barefoot in a hospital gown running through the parking lot of an Atlanta hospital. He is now believed to be in possession of a gun, according to deputies.
Timothy Shane walked out of Grady Memorial Hospital early Monday and was apprehended Wednesday morning in Newton County.
ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — A Rockdale County inmate is on the run after deputies say he escaped in Atlanta, stole a SUV and crashed it. Timothy Shane went to Grady Memorial Hospital for a medical evaluation around midnight and escaped around 1:20 a.m., according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
