The southeast Texas area, including the Houston area, will get more than an inch of snow, sleet and freezing rain during a winter storm set to arrive on Monday afternoon.

Areas that will likely see the least amount of snow will be located along the immediate coastline. Snow totals here may get cut down due to mixing issues with sleet and rain. Additionally, temperatures near or just above freezing will compress any snow that does fall, leading to smaller totals.
