A journey that began on soccer fields in East Hartford will officially take Patrick Agyemang to the birthplace of the beautiful game– England.

Agyemang departs Charlotte after scoring 22 goals in 72 matches across all competitions for the Crown. He’s the first player in club history to be sold on a multi-million transfer, General Manager Zoran Krneta said; the exact figure has not been released.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Patrick Agyemang is officially a former member of Charlotte FC. The club announcing on Tuesday that the star forward has joined Derby County on a permanent transfer. The club confirms that the transfer fee will be a “record fee” coming back to Charlotte FC.
