Jose Aldo is laying down his mixed martial arts gloves again. On Saturday, former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo announced his second retirement. The decision came after losing to Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 in a fight many spectators thought Aldo won.

Now that it's all over, Aiemann Zahabi no doubt would say it's water under the bridge. But at the time, truth be told, the bantamweight could not have been thrilled that he got within less than a pound of making the bantamweight limit,

Aldo may not have gone out on top, but if Saturday was indeed the final chapter we'll see from the former UFC featherweight champion, it was a fitting sendoff for an all-time great.
