Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, has a history of not offering iPad versions of its social apps. Instagram famously (infamously?) has never been available on iPad. Though supposedly that may change soon.

The Apple Apps Store has grown in size so that it can now boast of over 10,000 iPad applications. The feat was achieved in only 63 days after the iPad was commercially launched on the 3rd of April.
