Chicago weather: Gusty rain today, light snow chance arrives tonight
CHICAGO - Cooler air is streaming in from the west. We are currently seeing the 40s in western counties and the 50s in Chicago. Rain is moving in now, and the wind is gusty. We have the chance for wind to gust at 40-50 mph this afternoon. Showers will be moving out by mid-evening. There is a chance for light snow late this evening and into tonight.
A cold weather advisory remains in effect from 8 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday in northern and central Illinois and northwest Indiana.
After a brutally cold weekend with single-digit temperatures and wind chills as low as -30 degrees, winter weather in the Chicago area was expected to rebound starting Monday, the NBC 5 Storm Team said.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from midnight to 9 a.m. Sunday as the area could see between 3 to 5 inches of snow.

Chicago weather: A strong cold front will usher in a quick cold snap by Friday
