Bodhi Bilyeu, 8, has made it a hobby to dig for rocks and gems. He has two shelves of gems and geodes at his home, he said.

There were guided hikes along the river banks, lessons about geodes and crystals and information about the dinosaurs that called the Ohio River Valley home.

Rock enthusiasts could peruse aisles of fossils, gemstones, slabs, jewelry, geodes, and minerals, while partaking in hands-on digging for rocks and other activities.
