In an updated alert from Sept. 2, the FDA reiterated that it is actively investigating reports of possible contamination with the radioactive isotope cesium-137. Products from Seattle-based Aquastar and Florida-based Beaver Street Fisheries join Southwind Foods on the list of companies that have issued recalls.

Certain lots of Great Value brand frozen raw shrimp may have been processed in a facility where other products were contaminated with cesium-137, a radioactive isotope linked to cancer.

Southwind Foods said it is "voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of frozen shrimp" due to the possible contamination with Cesium-137, a radioactive isotope.
