If your rod is used lightly, sand the cork first with extra-fine sandpaper and then use the wax. Over time, you will find that the EVA grips become stained and sometimes discolour.

Have you given much thought about fly rod grips. Why do they come in different shapes and sizes? How does the shape affect your casting? Does it affect your casting?

If you find the EVA grips or blank is heavily soiled due to salt or bait residue, use a soft bristle brush as this will help remove any tough stains without damaging or scratching the rod.
