Tillery, who is entering his seventh season in the NFL, has played in stints for the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Minnesota Vikings, and seemed poised to compete for a depth role on Kansas City's defensive line.

The Kansas City Chiefs have completed a trade with the New York Jets just ahead of NFL cutdown day. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has reported that the Chiefs have acquired defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi from the Jets in exchange for a 2027 conditional sixth/seventh round pick flop.

The defensive tackle was a third-round pick of the Chiefs in 2018 out of Florida State. Not a bad time to come to Kansas City, as Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs’ growth into a dynasty. Nnadi played in 115 games with the Chiefs from 2018 through 2024. In that time, Nnadi recorded 233 tackles and 5.0 sacks.
