Vans’ historian weaves together the ‘Off the Wall’ shoe company through its longest-running Southern California story, in Alhambra.

A Vans shoe store has is opening in downtown San Luis Obispo, California. The store will move into the old Chipotle spot on Higuera Street, and it’s first day will be Sept. 11, 2019.

Vans has previously been criticized for throwing out sneakers. A YouTube video posted in 2015, showed two trash cans filled with new shoes that were cut up and left outside a Philadelphia store.

The first Vans shoe store opened at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim on March 16, 1966.
