As crews find success containing the Flat Fire, work on the Emigrant Fire continues. However, weather conditions spell trouble for this week.
ESTACADA, Ore. -- The 36 Pit Fire east of Estacada has grown from 2,300 to 3,600 acres overnight, officials said during a briefing Tuesday morning.
The wildfire actively burning around the La Dee Flats area southeast of Estacada was estimated to be 35% contained as of Tuesday morning, according to the Oregon Department of Forestry.
