Tragedy at Thomaston airport as skydiver Jasmine Black dies following a midair collision with another jumper's gear, despite having completed over 160 jumps previously.

The victim, who had more than 160 jumps under her belt, tried to “cut away” her main parachute and deploy the emergency chute, but it failed because she was so close to the ground.

An experienced skydiver died Saturday after her main parachute collided with another jumper, and the emergency chute failed to deploy, authorities said.
