GRAND BLANC, MI – Grand Blanc football coach Logan Welch was the man killed in a workplace shooting in Almont on Nov. 5, Almont Police Chief Daniel Willis confirmed.
The Milan Police Department took a suspect in custody after shots were fired toward homes and cars in a mobile home park.
Logan Welch, who coached the seventh-grade football team at Grand Blanc West Middle School, died after a workplace shooting at Trims Unlimited in Almont on Wednesday.

Jill Welch, Logan Welch's mother, said her son was married and expecting a child in April. "He was so excited, he was going to be a girl dad," Jill Welch said. Police have said Logan Welch was shot and killed at his workplace around 8:20 a.m.
The attack was a targeted act of violence, "believed to be motivated by the assailant’s anti-religious beliefs against the Mormon religious community," the FBI said Friday.
