After months of anticipation, Week 1 of the 2025 college football season is finally here. Saturday's slate is full of intriguing matchups that will shape the College Football Playoff picture and provide fans with the opportunity to see familiar faces in new places.

This season, KDKA+ is airing 10 regular-season WPIAL high school football games as part of the Steelers High School Showcase Game of the Week series. The games are scheduled to air every Friday from Aug. 22 through Oct. 24, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. each week.

Harper Woods 40, Redford Union 0: Nate Rochleaue connected with Dakota Guerrant for two touchdowns through the air. Avery Taylor rushed for two scores and Machi Jones added another for Harper Woods. Defensively, Guerrant also recorded an interception, Corey Bailey added two sacks and Jeremiah McCall had six tackles for loss.
