Vietnam was bracing for Typhoon Kajiki on Monday, which had already brought heavy rain and wind hours before it was expected to hit the country's central region.

More than 500,000 people have been ordered to leave their homes in coastal Vietnam as Typhoon Kajiki made landfall there, bringing winds of up to 130 km/h. Officials say six provinces are at risk of flash floods and landslides.
