Ty Rodgers will be back on the Illinois men's basketball next season. After redshirting during the 2024-25 campaign, the 6-foot-6 guard/forward announced on social media he's returning for a fourth season. He started all 38 games as a sophomore and averaged 6.2 points and 5.3 rebounds as the Illini made a run to the 2024 Elite Eight.

As a sophomore, the 6-foot-6 guard shot 44% from three-point range on 4 attempts per game. His 16 points per game on 47/44/76 shooting is the kind of efficiency that could be enhanced on a talented Illini squad on which he can get more open looks.
