Not everyone will see rain, but the chance for a few hit-or-miss showers and storms will remain through the holiday weekend and into next week. Temperatures will return to near average next week.

Thursday will be another hot day across the Denver metro area and Eastern Colorado with afternoon highs climbing into the 90s. Highs in the mountains will drop a couple of degrees as compared to Wednesday,

A system brings widespread rain and a few thunderstorms Friday. Scattered showers stick around though Saturday before hot and dry weather rolls in next week.
