The No. 3 Cougars (25-4, 17-1 in Big 12) arrived on a winning streak and ready to play their regular season finale. The last time these two teams played, Houston outlasted Kansas in a double overtime victory in Lawrence.

Kansas football played its home games away from Lawrence in 2024. However, the Jayhawks will be back again at a new-look stadium in 2025.

If the Jayhawks can string together a couple of wins before March Madness in the Big 12 tourney, it will help them build confidence. Remember, KU is the team with the most Division I experience in college basketball. The Jayhawks are dangerous if they play close to their ceiling.
