State medical investigators will examine the bodies of three Revere women who died in mysterious circumstances in Belize once they are returned to the United States.

Family and friends of the three young American women found dead at a Belize beach resort over the weekend expressed doubts that the trio overdosed as suggested by local police in the Central American country.

Police in Belize told ABC News on Wednesday that Wafae El Arar, 26, Imane Mallah, 24, and Kaoutar Naqqad, 23, who were found dead in their hotel room last weekend, had died of acute pulmonary edema.
