Chicago Bulls point guard Coby White was the NBA 's Player of the Month in March. He joined Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and DeMar DeRozan as the only players in Chicago franchise history to earn at least one Player of the Month Award.
White registered 28 points (10-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 137-118 victory over Toronto.
“The NBA announced today that Chicago Bulls guard Coby White was named the Kia NBA Player of the Month in the East for games played in March,” the Bulls said in a press release. “White joins Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and DeMar DeRozan as the only Bulls players to earn the monthly honor.”
Coach Billy Donovan has made it a point to keep the conference standings posted, but even if the Bulls do get out of the play-in and reach the postseason, the window might not stay open very long heading into next year.
White was limited to 23 minutes Monday and struggled badly against one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, and this seven-point effort signaled the end of his 15-game streak with at least 20 points.
