Former Kentucky football head coach Mark Stoops penned an emotional goodbye statement to the everyone associated with Kentucky and the fans.

Kentucky has fired the Southeastern Conference’s longest-tenured coach, ending Mark Stoops’ tenure in his 13th season with the Wildcats after back-to-back losing records.

UK has canceled the Board of Trustees athletics committee meeting previously scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Monday. Barnhart was scheduled to address the committee during that meeting and generally speaks with reporters after committee meetings.
