Owners of Sunrisers Hyderabad Indian Premier League (IPL) team have purchased 100 per cent of Northern Superchargers in the Hundred. It is the latest sale in a series of eight auctions in which the England and Wales Cricket Board are flogging off 49 per cent of each team.

The Sun Group became the third IPL franchise to own stakes in a team in The Hundred but it is different from Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants' deals.

The Sun Group has acquired full ownership of the Northern Superchargers by buying both the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) 49% stake and Yorkshire's 51% share. The Superchargers, who were bought for £100 million, become the first side to be sold outright in The Hundred.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have acquired the Northern Superchagers for GBP 100 million, becoming the third IPL franchise to own a team in the Hundred.
