Payton Pritchard was happy to be recognized as the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year. But he didn’t spend much time celebrating it.

The lofty goals Payton Pritchard set and the hard work he put in over the past few seasons paid off Tuesday as the Celtics guard was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year. Pritchard said receiving the award is an honor and a sign that he is on the right path. He is driven to continue the growth that put him in this position.

In 2024-25, Pritchard set an all-time mark for three-pointers made off the bench, shot the second-most three-pointers in a season in Celtics history, and became the only player to score over 1,000 points and play 2,000 minutes off the bench.
