Shark Week 2025, a week dedicated to shark education and entertainment, runs from July 20-26 on the Discovery Channel. Sharks inhabit the waters off the coast of South Jersey, with a variety of species including basking sharks, sand tiger sharks and thresher sharks.

Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” kicks off with a unique twist this year: “Dancing with Sharks.” Hosted by former “Dancing With the Stars” host Tom Bergeron, the show features scuba-diving shark handlers performing underwater dances with hammerhead sharks.

Shark Week 2025 officially kicks off on the Discovery Channel Sunday, July 20 at 8/7c and over the course of a week of special programming, 20 new releases will premiere on the popular network.
