According to a report from BodySlam on Friday morning, WWE is aware that recent stretches of "SmackDown" have not met expectations.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is trying to extend an olive branch to this WWE Superstar ahead of tonight’s show. On the November 7 episode of SmackDown, Nick Aldis suspended Drew McIntyre. This was a result of McIntyre getting involved in the main event between Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black.

Tomorrow, the wrestling world bids adieu to John Cena, but despite the weight atmosphere this weekend, "WWE SmackDown" stopped into the Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As always with "SmackDown," there was plenty to love and plenty to hate. As always, we won't be dealing in results. That's already been taken care of on the results page.

Bodyslam reports that WWE is seeking some huge upgrades to the "Friday Night SmackDown" roster in 2026. The report also mentioned that WWE knows the brand's creative has left a lot to be desired. The hope is that efforts to upgrade "WWE SmackDown" will improve the show when it switches back to a three-hour runtime.
