Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said “Texas strip steak” would better reflect the Lone Star State’s status as the cow capital of America.

Now, Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick says he wants to change the name of a piece of meat. In a post to X on Friday afternoon, Patrick said a resolution will be filed to rename the “New York Strip” to the “Texas Strip” if it’s served up here in the Lone Star State.
