Meals for first responders and families are being prepared. Vital supplies such as fresh water and first-aid items are being collected. And several San Antonio restaurants are donating a portion of their sales to assist.
In an effort to help Texas flooding victims, the organization is accepting donations for its Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, which its website says will “support nonprofit organizations, first responder agencies, and local governments actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts.”
Walmart, Sam’s Club and the Walmart Foundation are committing up to $500,000 to support Texas flood relief efforts. This includes up to a $250,000 match of customer and member donations, that can soon be made online or in-stores and clubs in Texas, through the Walmart and Salvation Army match campaign.
San Antonio restaurants, locally owned and operated, and statewide chains are donating sales up into next week to assist in the Kerr County flood relief effort.
James Avery Founded in Kerrville, James Avery is donating $1 million to organizations assisting with flood relief. The jewelry company is also donating 100% of sales from its “Deep in the Heart of Texas” charm until August 4 to ongoing relief efforts for Kerr County and the surrounding areas.
