The UConn women’s basketball team maintained its No. 1 ranking in the AP Top 25 poll amid the season’s first shakeup among the top 5 teams.

The Michigan women remained at No. 6 in the AP poll. They played one game since the last poll, winning Wednesday at Detroit Mercy 102-53. The Wolverines host Central Michigan on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET, B1G+) and open Big Ten play at home against Purdue on Sunday (noon, BTN).

With the nation’s most impressive win resume, Texas, unsurprisingly, trails only defending national champion UConn in Week 5 of the AP Top 25 poll. The Longhorns also took 10 of the 32 first-place votes from the Huskies.
