The latest came on Friday when the No. 8 seed Rebels (22-11) fell 62-57 to the No. 1 seed Tigers (28-4) in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament at Bridgestone Arena. Afterward, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said he believes Ole Miss is capable of making a run when the NCAA tournament begins next week.
