Christine Combs, 34, and Beverly Gumm, 72, were killed Sunday after a gunman opened fire on churchgoers at the Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, the Lexington Police Department said. Both women were members of the church, while two male congregants were also wounded – one critically, according to cops.

A shooting incident at the Blue Grass Airport, in Lexington, Kentucky on Sunday caused chaos. Locals on social media said people were running around a terminal after shots were fired at around 11:40 AM local time. One person was seriously injured in the shooting.
Former Lexington Police Chief Anthany Beatty said from the outside looking in, the agencies responded to the Bluegrass Airport and Richmond Road Baptist Church scenes in textbook fashion.
