The first time Oscar Piastri arrived at the Miami Grand Prix as a Formula 1 driver he was in the slowest car in the field and only narrowly avoided finishing last. Fast-forward two years and Piastri and McLaren Racing have come full circle.

Oscar Piastri won an action-packed Formula 1 race full of wheel-to-wheel battles Sunday, extending his championship lead over fellow McLaren driver Lando Norris, who finished in second place.

The win marks Piastri's fourth of the season after he picked up wins at the Heineken Chinese Grand Prix in March and the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix and SRC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in April. The 24-year-old Australian has now doubled his win total from a year ago.
