Sep 24, 2022 · Respectfully I disagree about the hip movement; I see Beterbiev getting a ton of rotation but I think maybe the problem is that the camera alway seems to cut to the waist up when guys fight inside. So he gets his power through two things: one Beterbiev likes to turn his hips by taking a step forward or pivot step around.

Jan 14, 2024 · Beterbiev is a different animal than Canelo, tho, Artur applies the pressure and doesn’t wind up to chop you down, nor does he rely on counters, and so on… I imagine Bivol being one of the worst stylistic matches for Beterbiev, but I’m still only 60/40 towards Bivol.

I give the edge to Beterbiev because his power is incredible and he has a granite chin. Bivol won’t be able to hurt him enough to keep Artur out of the pocket and if you stand in the pocket with Beterbiev you get KO’d. I think Bivol will box and move for as long as he can, but in the last few rounds Artur will catch up to him and end it.

Beterbiev would have easily obliterated an old Pascal as well. The latter literally fought some MMA guy prior to his bout against Bivol. Also, you are pretending as if Bivol's sleek soviet pendulum style of boxing is something that Artur has never faced before.
