It’s surprisingly easy to make - it’s no wonder that this was the favorite base for alcohol for centuries in much of Northern Europe and the US. Simply chop the apples, press them, and then pack the juice in quart jars, to ensure the juice does not spontaneously ferment, process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
