The Moki Dugway is an unpaved mountain road in southeastern Utah that climbs roughly 1,100 feet in about three miles. The route uses a series of tight switchbacks carved into the side of Cedar Mesa. There are no guardrails, limited room to pass, and steep drop-offs along the edge. Grades reach around 10 percent, which can strain engines on the way up and overheat brakes on the way down.
