When all is going to plan, trained staff send the balloons up twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, from 100 sites around the country, including one in Green Bay. “Meteorologists have been launching weather balloons for almost 100 years no

Marijuana isn’t legal in Wisconsin, but a person driving down any number of city streets or past strip malls might be forgiven for not realizing that. Storefronts selling THC and CBD products, all derived from the same cannabis plant as marijuana, have flourished in Wisconsin. Those stores — along with the vapes, gummies, drinks and creams available for purchase at grocery stores and gas stations — are there because of a federal loophole. And that loophole is suddenly about to close. WPR's Anya

If you ever wanted to know what federal dollars do in Wisconsin every day, just look at responses this week to the Trump Administration's memo calling for a pause in federal payments to grant, loan and assistance programs. You may have heard the joke before: You’re not a true Wisconsinite unless you know how to pronounce “Oconomowoc.” And that’s not the only tongue-twister in the state. There’s Kaukauna, Weyauwega, the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest — the list goes on. Even though she grew up in Wisconsin, Jackie Johnson told WPR’s “Wisconsin Today” she would sometimes stumble on an unfamiliar place name while working as an anchor-reporter for Wisconsin Radio Network. Gibson said he hopes the album can be a fun “soundtrack to the playoffs” for Brewers fans. “I don’t have any grand expectations. But if this means that the Brewers heard this and they liked it,

At a time when states across the country are locked in redistricting battles aimed at swaying the balance of power in Congress, two lawsuits attempting to redraw Wisconsin’s congressional map are using a process that is anything but ordinary. The state Supreme Court has formed panels of circuit court judges to hear the map challenges, relying on a law passed by Republicans when they controlled all of state government more than a decade ago. Here’s a look at how the state arrived at that process,

Maybe I would want to do more of this. Maybe I can try to make it t
