At a time of rising tensions, their voices carried an ancient message: “Guardian of one nation, Guardian of the remnant of one people. let not the one nation be lost. Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.” For more than 2,700 years, Jews have lived in Iran, making the Iranian Jewish community one of the oldest Jewish diaspora communities, with roots dating back to ancient Persia.
