“Well then,” said Monday, adjusting her dandelion-buttoned waistcoat and brushing a leaf from her hat, “Here I am! Not as frightening as rumour suggests, and I’ve even brought scones.” She twirled once (her skirt was made of pressed petals and possibility) and added: “May your tea be strong, your to-do list kind, and your socks surprisingly matching.” Then she winked, straightened her collar, and whispered, “Let’s begin, shall we?” 🌿 From Monday, with mischief and a hint of marmalade @victoriab

Do come and sit. Yes, here on the bed. I know it looks full, but beds are very clever about these things; they always make room when someone arrives a little tired. Just squash in beside me and pull the blanket up; it already knows your shape. Have you brought something warm? A mug is best at this hour. Tea, cocoa, or milk with a small spoon of honey. Set it safely there. The lamp will keep watch. You can put your busy thoughts down now, right here by the edge; they won’t wander far. Nothing nee

“To all who create, who sing, who paint, who write, who heal, who love, and who share your light — thank you. The Glen shines brighter because of you.” And so it does, my dear one. Every time you make something, every time you smile kindly, every time you believe in a bit of magic — The Glen feels it. If ever there were a day made entirely of greyness and rain, this would be it. Mouse wishes to make it known that the socks you sent are perfect. Thank you kindly. They are already much loved. Mouse reads aloud from The Glen Gazette. Every so often, she pauses to sip her tea or to laugh quietly at a sentence she particularly likes. Several Glenfolk have retreated to the steamy sanctuary of a deep bath. There is steam on the mirrors, bubbles climbing mountains of their own making, and a book bala

Mouse spread jam onto the toast and passed it around. “And do you know,” she said, “the snow you’ve made has turned the Glen into a wonderland. The trees look like they’re wearing frosty crowns, and the hills sparkle as if they’ve been sprinkled with stars.” The clouds blushed at the compliment, their silvery edges glowing faintly. “We do try our best,” said another cloud shyly. “But sometimes we wonder if anyone notices.” “Oh, we notice,” Mouse said warmly. “Even the smallest snowflake can brin

The fairy looked at Mouse with a smile, her eyes warm and wise, for fairies know many things about the world. “Come, sit with me, Mouse,” she said, patting the moss beside her. “I will tell you a secret that only the stars know.” Mouse scrambled up onto the soft moss, nestling beside the fairy. She looked up, her whiskers twitching, as the fairy began her tale. “Long ago,” the fairy whispered, “the stars were curious things. They loved to watch the world below, for it was full of light and life

As Rabbit and the gull stood together under the vast night sky, the universe and the stars whispered down to them with a voice as soft as stardust. “Dear Rabbit,” they began, their light twinkling like a thousand tiny fires in the deep blue heavens, “you have shown great kindness and courage this night. Your heart, though small, shines as brightly as the stars above.” The stars twinkled in agreement, sending beams of gentle light to dance around Rabbit and the seagull. “Remember, little one,” th

As Mouse turned the last page, she looked back over the gathered friends with a twinkle in her eye and added, “Oh, and one more thing, Best Beloveds. Tonight’s tale of Joney Lowney—our very own Jinny the Witch—is inspired by stories as old as the Isle itself, bits of Manx folklore carried by the winds and waves of this place we call home. Every twist and turn of the tale has been whispered through generations, keeping the magic of the Isle alive for all who listen. So, as you head back to your b

And so Rabbit, always full of plans and ideas, settled into her chair, her teacup warm in her paws. She watched as the breeze danced around the nodding poppies, carrying with it the sweet scent of apple and blackberry pie from the kitchen, and she felt, for once, that there was nothing more important than this very moment. Morning, pleased with herself, wrapped her light a little more snugly around Rabbit and the Glen. “That’s it, dear one,” she whispered. “Let the world turn as it will. There i

It was an early October morning, crisp and quiet, as Morning made her usual rounds through the glen. As the Keeper of Time and Order, her golden light floated gently through the trees, ensuring everything was in its rightful place for the week ahead. But on this particular Monday, Morning had been handed a rather unusual list—one filled with requests from not only the creatures of the glen but nature herself. ✨ ✨ “Come along, won’t you? 🍁✨📖 Subscribe now to read the story and let yourself be s

“Good morning, dear Grandfather Clock,” Mouse said with a smile, setting her coffee cup down gently. “You’ve seen so much time pass by. Do you ever feel tired of ticking? ”The clock’s pendulum swung slowly, as if considering her question. Then, with a gentle chime, it replied, “Tick-tock, dear Mouse, time is my gift. I have watched the sun rise and set thousands of times, and each tick is a reminder that moments are fleeting, but always precious.” Mouse nodded thoughtfully. “I suppose you’re rig

Ah, my dear soul, do come in quietly and mind your step — there’s a great deal of gentle bustle in the Spider household this Wednesday evening. The windows are misted, the kettle has just begun to whisper, and somewhere above your head you can hear the scuttle and squeak of small feet (well, eight of them each, to be precise). I’m just sitting here beside the hearth, pulling my Tiny Thoughts out of their jar one by one. You see, when you have as many legs as I do, your thoughts tend to multiply,
