Last Saturday night, 22 Officers from Gastonia PD, Lowell PD, Bessemer City PD, Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, Gaston County Police, and NC SHP, participated in the NC Governor’s Highway Safety Programs “Move Over" Campaign. Officers focused on I-85, US Hwy 321, and US Hwy 74 during this event. Officers issued 156 charges, including 13 for Move Over violations, 38 for speeding, 4 for DWI, and a multitude of other charges. We are committed to making the roadways as safe as possible.
