Parrots backpacks = science 🦜🎒 To help protect endangered thick-billed parrots, we need to better understand where they spend the winter. A team of biologists including members from Organización Vida Silvestre A.C. (OVIS) in Mexico, the Arizona Fish and Game Department, World Parrot Trust and San Diego Zoo Global, outfitted the parrots with solar-powered transmitters to find out where they go so we can protect this important part of their migratory path.
