Tennessee Department of Transportation has a list of projects ready to go once budget is approved

TDOT: Road projects take 15 years to complete on average

TDOT on Instagram: "Contrary to (some) folks’ beliefs… TDOT does try to keep traffic impact low during construction. It’s why we kept the SR 55 bridge in Coffee Co. open while replacing it. Multitasking? We know. The bridge glow-up is almost done, and we’ll shift the main focus to widening the road. New bridge drops Winter 2025. Full project wraps Spring 2027."

TDOT on Instagram: "Well, this is the way we *hope* they react. TDOT recently shifted traffic onto the newly constructed SR 76/US 79 in Carroll County. This is Phase 2 of the project, which stretches from SR 77 to near Cutlip Lane. Phase 1, from Cades-Atwood Rd to SR 77, opened last fall. The project aims to improve the route from Milan in Gibson County to McKenzie in Carroll County."

TDOT on Instagram: "400+ lane miles are getting a GLOW UP in Memphis and Shelby County over the next few years. TDOT will be spending more than $160 million to improve major corridors including I-240, I-269, I-40, and various state routes across the county.
